Dragon Pavilion (Long Ting)

Imperial Song Street

The original Imperial Street was the very passage constructed for the emperor. It started from Xuande Gate of the Imperial Palace, via Zhou Bridge and Zhuqiu Gate, and ended at Nanxun Gate, totaling over five kilometers. Walking along the current street, at first sight you can see the high horizontal tablets and shop signs. |

Xiangguo Temple

The Xiangguo Temple (Xiangguo si) has had one of the most turbulent histories in China, having been destroyed, rebuilt, sacked, renovated and commercialized beyond recognition. The temple was first built in 555 AD, during the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577 AD), when Chinese Buddhism was at one of its peaks in history. |
