I had a wonderful holiday and I am writing to thank all your colleagues for their support. Our driver in Lijiang, Mr Wan, was very safe driver and our guide for the Tiger Leaping Gorge trek, Tenzing, was excellent. Also Jasmine in Kunming and John in Dali were first class guides.

There are a number of corrections to the itinerary I would point out:

1)     The walk from Tina's guest house to the ferry to Da Ju on Day 7 is not one hour, it is approximately 16km / 3 - 4 hours.

2)     It is not possible to take large baggage from Lijiang to Tina's guest house, so our baggage remained in Lijiang until Day 7 night when we returned to Lijiang after two nights in the gorge. This was no problem, but we had to carry a change of clothes and washbag during the hike as well as water, camera and chocolate.

3)     Lunch on day of  Tiger Leaping Gorge trek was at Naxi Family Guest House – very good.

4)     Yak Meadow cable car was closed due to visit of government official, so we went to Spruce meadow cable car instead. The stop at the Yulong mountain resort also included opportunity to ride a yak (for extra payment). Quite a busy resort but good scenery.
