We are very sad for those people that are still suffering from the devastating earthquake.  We deeply appreciate the devoted efforts of the Chinese people,  for their search-and-rescue effort, as China's soldiers, medical personnels and citizens continue to dig through the rubble of the destroyed towns looking for survivors.

"xie xie ni men" (is it correct?, i have learned a bit of mandarin, i was told it means "thank you" ).  We are so lazy that we wait till now to say Thank You, for the wonderful arrangement you made for our visit to China last September.  It was so much fun in our China trip. We both loved it very much. Service of tour guide is super: Good on service attitude, language and knowledge. We also wanted to make sure and tell you how great Mr. Jeff Lai was. He was so nice, and informative. He went beyond the call of duty, answering our questions, keeping us out of trouble, telling us everything we needed to know. He really made the trip.

Our tour guide, Linda in xian was very good, as was Wang in beijing and Fangling in shanghai. we were duly impressed with their command of the english language and knowledge of the chinese culture and history. with respect to the meals, we would recommend switching the luncheon meal outside the summer palace in beijing, as it was totally unsatisfactory. we were impressed with the first dinner in beijing and the first lunch in shanghai; the dumpling dinner in Xian on our first nights stay was excellent, as was our meal (on our own) in shanghai at lu bo lang in the old town which fan fan recommended. the hotel accomodations were satisfactory, with the exception of the sheraton hotel in guilin which although rated a 5-star, should have been rated more as 3-4 star. we particularly enjoyed the hyatt in xian and the jc mandarin in shanghai.

We were very pleased with the touring arrangements; what really impressed us the most and what we truly enjoyed were the guides that you utilized in the cities - they were excellent. we particularly enjoyed Jeff and Fangling, in their improvising and sharing with us sites off the beaten path as time permitted, and their desire to show us what we were interested in.

Again, thank you so much for all of your help. It was a great trip, we may be coming back for the second time.
