ms lina, thanks for your input. i do apprerciate the enormity of china, it's burgeoning economy and the position that puts the local population in, unfortunately we will not be able to take advantage of china'ds hospitality this time, i simply can't afford it.
the "locally arranged tours" are led by australian travel people who speak chinese and understand the local customs, there are no "shopping district" side trips, nor any unwanted ventures into those areas where less scrupulous guides would be earning a bonus, having said that, we are still unable to take advantage.
when we are in a financial position to visit china, i would rather use the servicesa of someone like yourself, a local, rather than someone from here who only travels to the tourist destinations. when we travel, we do it our own way, we do not usually go only to the tourist places but rather like to get out and see what the people do, how they live, whast they are like..in short, we like to see the "real country" and that is what i wanted to do this time, it is what we will do when we can afford china!
lina, i thank you for your efforts, your patience and understanding in attempting to explain the "local" situation and i would like to take this opportunity to recommend to your employer that you are a very professional person and an attribute to your company.
i hope we are able to "do business" at a later date and that your company appreciates and rewards your excellent service.
sincerely,
