This festival is named Doma and Daoshen in the Dong language, NiRenJie in Mandarian. Duoma means playing with mud, and Daoshen means cattle fighting.
Before this festival, the pind is stocked with fish. On the fifteenth day of the eighth month, the young, naked men enter the pond, causing the water to be muddied. The yound men then start to catch fish with their hands, each time holding a fish high up in the air for onlookers to shout praises to them.
