Hainan Li minority March 3 Festival

Time: March 3 every lunar year

Location: Hainan province Dongfang, Changjiang, Ledong, Zisha, Tongshi cities.

Resource: long ago. Li minority people who live in the riverside of Hainan Changhua River were suffered a flood, nearly all the Li people were died and just a couple of brother and sister were survive, the elder brother named "Tianfei" and the younger sister named "Guanyin". They married in March 3 after they dressed up, from then on; the Li minority were grew more and more relationship. The posterity will pray at that day in order to memorize them, so it became a festival for the youth to look for lover.

Activities: all the Li people will together in the outdoor, hold shooting competition, elder people will sing tradition songs and bamboo dance. At the same time, youth will hold "mountain love" for special loving activity.
