On the third day of the third lunar month of every tear, the Dong in Sanjiang celebrate the Fireworks Festival, also known as "Sanyuesan". the largest celebration is held in a town called Fulu in Sanjiang County.

Silver ornaments are another important aspect of a Dong woman's dress, especially among those in the south. Jewelry styles, though basically the same among the various Dong groups, do bear some distinctions such as the silver "weight" that hangs down the back of a woman's jacket.

Taijiang Dragon Lantern Festival |
Taijiang Dragon Lantern Festival is celebrated with great gusto in Tajiang, near Kaili, where the entertainment takes n a unique flavor. Several groups in Taijiang, from the period of the 1st to 15th of the first lunar month, make large paper dragons that are manipulated by 10-15 men. Children are given straw dragons.

Tianlong Tunpu |
Tianlong Tunpu, 72 kilometers west of Guiyang, is a small village near Huangguoshu Waterfall. Since the Yuan dynasty (1271-1368), Tianlong had been an important military fortress, guarding a major gateway to the southwestern Chinese province of Yunnan.

Li River Trekking |
Take 1 hour public bus to the Yangdi village from where you will begin your hiking tour. Walk along the bank of Li River to Xingping. After about 4.5 hours, Xingping, a small fishing village, comes into sight. Your hiking tour finishs here. Transfer to Yangshuo by local bus.
