By Air Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is the biggest in Central China, a modern first-grade airport in the Huangpi District of Wuhan. The distance to the city centre via the new express way is 18 kilometres and takes 20-25 minutes by car. There are several daily flights to Beijing and Shanghai. Every day, there is also a direct scheduled flight between Wuhan and Hongkong. The average of flights is 120 per day.

By car There are several major highways that goes to Wuhan and extend in all directions. The national highways 106, 107,316 and 318 goes to nine major cities. These highways are also directly linked up to 15 provincial highways and 39 county and village highways. At present, the daily passing through ability reaches 85 thousand.
