Yandang Mountain is situated at the north-east of Yueqing Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province boasting a collection of fantastic peaks, bizarre rocks, flying waterfalls and ancient caves and covering the area of 450 square kilometers. It is reputed as "one of the most wonderful views on earth" and is considered as one of ten famous mountains in China.

The name "yandang" comes from the lake of beautiful view on the top of the mountain and where the spreading reed, and the wild geese come and live here in autumn. Yandang Mountain, famous for its peaks, screen-like peaks, caves and waterfalls, is a mountainous natural resort on seaside. With the good reputation of "the famous mountain in the sea", "the emperor of mountains" it was called as "The First Mountain in Southeast China". With abundant and rich culture, it was set afoot in South and North Dynasty, and developed in Tang Dynasty.

It is well known for the unique and beautiful landscape of Yandang Mountain, but not just on the fantastic beauty. Moreover, there are lots of charm sceneries attracting the visitors. The major scenic spots are Lingfeng Peak, Lingyan Rock, Dalongqiu Waterfhll, Three interrupted Waterfalls, Yah Lake, Xiansheng Gate and Yangjia. Cave, with as many as 500 famous spots, of which Lingfeng Peak, Lingyan Rock and Dalongqiu Waterfall are rated as the "three excellences of the Yandang Mountain".
