Dameisha Beach is one of ten tangible things promised by the Shenzhen government in 1999. Dameisha beach is edged by green chains of hills, located on the beautiful Dapeng Bay. It lay by the beautiful South Sea, boasting over 1800 meters of beaches between the mountain and the sea. The beach features swimming zone, sports zone, amusement zone and B.B.Q. zone. It also offers you lots of choices such as the sea parachuting, waterskiing, cable way, motor boating and beach driving. The golden beach, sapphire-like sea, green-mountain, relaxed music and white sand promise you a warm and comfortable vacation.
The sea sand is yellow and white with small particles, plain an soft as if a crescent moon were delicately embedded in the green mountains and the blue sea, highly reputed as "Oriental Hawaii" which is the favorite holiday destination attracting tourists for holiday, leisure and amusement and even surfing and fitness.
The sweet smell of plants and the sound of music quickly establish the vacation feeling. The aroma of sizzling sausages, chicken wings and mushrooms from the barbecue stands competes with the fresh air.
The inviting natural environment of hills and sea was incorporated into the design of Dameisha Beach Park. Sun Square and Moon Square, linked by the Sunshine Corridor, are planted with coconut palms and flowers. Tall French loquats provide shade for the parking lot. The entire park is planted with 57 kinds of semitropical plants, turning the edge of the beach into a well-manicured jungle park.
Dameisha Beach Park is divided into five areas: for swimming, leisure, sports, entertainment and barbecuing. Sports include beach volleyball, water parachuting and motorboating. The beach has facilities for shopping, showers, food and drink, and swimming equipment rental.
Fall Festival The fifth Shenzhen Golden Beach Tourism Festival will be held at Dameisha from September through October. The festival will include a modeling competition, clothing design contest, souvenirs, beach music and sand sculpting. Sculptors from more than 10 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Japan and Singapore, will create 100 works.
Dameisha's more exclusive little sister lies just five minutes to the east. Embracing sea and mountains, Xiaomeisha is full of vitality and charm. A promenade of coconut palms, colorful beach umbrellas, sand and sea form the Xiaomeisha seascape. Activities include water parachuting.
At night, beachgoers barbecue in the square, while around the open-air stage, onlookers are clapping to the dance music.
For beachgoers not up for doing their own cooking, restaurants line the promenade outside the beach. (Plan to eat before you enter the beach area or when you're ready to leave, since the beach admission charge is for a single entry.)
Dunzhou Island, at the southwest corner of the beach, is the place to watch sunrise and sunset as waves hit the rocks along the beach.
